Project Scope
Caddell was responsible for the design and construction of a combined 50,892 SF, high-security, headquarters building and Joint Operations Center for Command and Control at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The facility is two stories consisting of administrative space, open and private offices, multi-purpose conference rooms with specialized communication equipment, and audio/visual suites. Special construction features include raised computer flooring throughout, seismic construction, new electrical distribution systems, fire alarms, secure area construction (17,223 SF), special secure area construction, electronic security systems rough-in and fit-out, direct digital control systems, and telecommunication systems. The complex is a fully compliant Anti-Terrorism/Force-Protection facility. Scope includes a back-up diesel generator with the necessary switchgear to provide redundant, uninterrupted power to the entire facility.
