Project Scope
Caddell is responsible for the construction of a 1,240-person basic military training (BMT) dormitory and a dining/classroom facility to support two BMT dormitories. The 4-story dormitory is approximately 280,550 SF with reinforced concrete structure, a single elevator, clad with pre-cast concrete panels, and a standing seam metal roof. Supporting facilities include a free-standing equipment building to house the mechanical equipment, a weapons cleaning pavilion, running track, exercise pads, parking lots, AT/FP low security wall with integrated street lights, loading dock, parking lots, and landscaping/irrigation. The 3-story dining/classroom facility is approximately 106,537 SF with the first floor consisting of a full service commercial kitchen, dining area, support spaces, while the second and third floors feature eight 120-person classrooms with stadium seating and supporting spaces.
