Foundations For Vehicle Assembly Building

Cape Canaveral, FL

Project Scope

Constructed foundations for this massive building which covers eight acres and stands as stall as a 50-story building.  Required sinking more than 4000 sand-filled tubular steel pilings, each 16 inches in diameter, to a depth of 160 feet to bedrock.  The concrete pile caps and slab-on-grade were more than six feet thick.
