CoreCivic Facility Improvements

Caddell Construction - Core Civic in Wheeler County
Caddell Construction - Core Civic in Wheeler County

Project Scope

These projects involved virtually identical scope at two CoreCivic facilities and were completed simultaneously. The work consisted of design and construction of 6,300 SF of vocational space that included diesel mechanics and welding training shops, two classrooms, new utilities to serve the new buildings, management fencing at new building locations, new green houses, new site cameras, new gate controls, and the installation of all owner-furnished equipment to fit-out all the new spaces.

Caddell met aggressive schedules, maintained a perfect safety record, and completed the projects without a single security incident at either of the active correctional complexes.

“I have been with CoreCivic for 12 years and am a 28-year veteran of state-level correctional organizations. I can say with confidence that Caddell has been the best construction team of my career.”  – Warden Vance Laughlin at Wheeler County Correctional Facility
