Job Title – IT Network Engineer

What You Will Do
- Responsible for the effective provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, systems hardware, and software to ensure secure and efficient connectivity across all business locations.
- Administer and maintain LAN/WAN environments, leveraging Cisco switching and routing technologies, Meraki wireless and SD-WAN infrastructure, and Palo Alto next-generation firewalls to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Monitor network health and availability, perform diagnostics, and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and optimize network performance.
- Lead efforts in firewall rule management, site-to-site and client VPN configuration, network segmentation, and policy enforcement aligned with cybersecurity standards.
- Provide end-user support for both on-premise and remote users, ensuring seamless access to network and system resources.
- Install and configure networking equipment, servers, storage, services, settings, and peripherals in accordance with security and operational requirements.
- Conduct daily system and network monitoring, including log review, backup verification, and resource availability checks.
- Manage identity and access control, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, authentication, and permissions across systems and applications.
- Apply OS and firmware updates, implement administrative tools, and configure new services to maintain optimal system and network functionality.
- Provide performance reports and metrics to support network and system capacity planning.
- Collaborate with vendors for system and network upgrades, maintenance, and support services.
- Evaluate and recommend network and security enhancements, ensuring alignment with evolving technology needs and business objectives.
- Maintain and support the company’s intranet and internal databases, including integrations with other systems for reporting and operational workflows.
- Working Conditions – Full-time, office setting with occasional after-hours support as needed. 15-20% travel to project sites. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks such as crawling and kneeling during hardware installations or inspections.
- Reporting Structure – Reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

Education / Experience – ·
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher (preferred) – foundational knowledge of switching, routing, and network troubleshooting.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or equivalent certification – demonstrates ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls.
- Meraki Network Operator or Engineer Certification (preferred) – understanding of Meraki dashboard, wireless configurations, and SD-WAN operations.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration / Azure Fundamentals – relevant for supporting Windows-based infrastructure and hybrid environments.
- CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+ – foundational network and security knowledge.
- Hands-on training or experience in:
- Network design and administration (LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, ACLs)
- Firewall configuration and policy enforcement
- Wireless network management and performance tuning
- Systems monitoring, patching, and resource optimization
- Endpoint deployment and lifecycle management
- Continued professional development through vendor-led webinars, industry conferences, and technical workshops.
While the salary range is typically between $62,125 – $82,900 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
