
Caddell Construction proudly announces the promotion of Justin Spafford to vice president, commercial. In his new role, Spafford will relocate to Columbus, Ohio, where he will focus on the successful opening of Caddell’s newest corporate office and steady growth of the company’s portfolio.
Spafford joined Caddell in September 2023 as a senior project manager and was promoted to construction executive shortly thereafter. In just over two years with the company, he has overseen the successful completion of projects totaling more than $400 million in gross revenue while helping expand Caddell’s presence across multiple markets.
Prior to joining Caddell, Spafford spent nearly 20 years with Flintco Construction, advancing from superintendent to senior project manager. Throughout his career, he has delivered projects across a wide range of sectors, including education, sports and recreation, healthcare and mixed-use developments.

As vice president, Spafford will take on expanded executive responsibilities while supporting the continued growth and diversification of Caddell’s commercial and mission-critical markets. He will also help guide major projects in the region and work closely with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition as the company expands its footprint in Ohio.
President and CEO Mac Caddell announced the new office in Columbus, Ohio internally at the company’s last employee meeting of 2025. “Our team up in Ohio has continued to do a fantastic job for us, and they deserve all the credit for this expansion,” he said. “We look forward to the new office being a hub for attracting, retaining and developing talent and a dedicated space for Caddell’s presence in the region.” Caddell’s corporate office in Columbus is set to open this summer.
