Construction of a multi-building complex to be situated on a 10.5-acre site in the city of Al Khobar. Scope will include a New Office Building, U.S. Marine Residence, Entry Pavilion, Facilities for the Community (including a swimming pool), Warehouse, Utility Building, Underground Parking Structure, and a New Residence for the Consul General. The scope of work will also include perimeter security walls, suspended shading structure, covered parking, roads, and landscaping. The Consulate will feature an intricate framework of diagonally intersecting architectural concrete, limestone, security windows, aluminum cladding, and glass fiber reinforced concrete screens that will function to meet the sustainability goals of the project. This design element will also maximize daylighting and minimize heat gain. Project completion is anticipated in 2020. Contract Amount: $194M.
